JumpCart combines a powerful hosted software application with compact, lightweight scanners to provide flexible, easy-to-use inventory management capabilities.

JumpCart is as easy as Scan. Dock. Order.

The JumpCart barcode scanner is about the size and weight of the remote device you use to unlock your car doors so it doesn’t interfere with work movement, and has only two buttons so it’s very easy to use. Just scan the items you’d to like to record into or out of inventory. Barcodes can be scanned from an individual item, shelf label, order guide or a catalog produced using JumpCart. All required barcodes are easily created by the JumpCart system with no need for special printers.

The hosted JumpCart software works with any PC with an Internet connection; there’s no additional servers to buy and the only software required is easily installed onto the PC client. JumpCart’s hosted software lets you easily specify order quantities, reorder points, product numbers and preferred vendors for all inventoried and non-inventoried items. You can set static or dynamic reorder policies by item, track separate usage and order units of measure, and create custom fields.

At the end of each day—or any time frame you choose—simply plug the scanner into the USB port of any Internet-connected PC and all of the information is uploaded. JumpCart automatically creates orders for any needed items based on your inventory usage and displays the items, vendors and delivery locations on its Order Summary screen. Just review the orders, edit as necessary, and with one click send them to your vendors or to your procurement or ERP system.

Easy to Setup

Because there is no software to install, JumpCart is easy to set up and configure, even for multiple locations. What’s more, JumpCart lets you buy from the vendors you choose—we don’t lock you in to any pre-selected supplier.

You start with the Par Level Administration screen, which lets you specify how you want to manage your inventory and how orders will be created.

JumpCart lets you easily:

  • Enter vendor product numbers, along with your own custom product number if desired.
  • Assign GL codes to items for expense tracking
  • Specify static or dynamic reorder policies
  • Static reorder policy
  • When the inventory level of a product falls below par, an order is placed for a preset quantity of that product
  • Dynamic reorder policy
  • When the inventory level of a product falls below par, an order is placed for an amount that will bring inventory to a preset quantity
  • Enter product descriptions and approved vendors for each product
  • Assign separate usage and reorder units of measure, such as box, case or each
  • Specify reorder points and reorder quantities
  • Assign inventory locations
  • Add custom fields for additional information

The information entered on the Par Level Administration screen determines when something gets ordered, how much to order, and which vendor receives the order. This puts you in control of your inventory, and automatically creates orders reducing your requisition-to-order time and cost. Already have vendor and pricing information? JumpCart lets you easily import vendor, product, pricing and related information from Excel or text files.

JumpCart requires minimal user training. You decide how items will be scanned, then users simply scan barcodes at the appropriate point. Barcodes can be scanned from shelf labels, individual items, or from a custom catalogs created by the JumpCart system.

You can set up JumpCart to automatically update information in your accounting system, on a company-wide or per-site basis. It can be used as a standalone inventory management system or integrated with your existing procurement application or ERP software.

Simplicity is key to user adoption

Once you’ve configured JumpCart’s hosted software to manage inventory according to your parameters, users simply scan items at the appropriate time (e.g. each time an item is placed into and taken out of inventory, or only when the reorder point is reached).

The compact, lightweight JumpCart keyfob scanner has only two buttons, making it very easy to use with minimal training. The system is designed so that users can carry the scanners with them adapting to most workflow environments. It’s quick and easy for people to use—so they’ll actually use it.

At the end of each day-or at any frequency you choose-simply plug the scanner into the USB port of any Internet-connected PC and all of the information is uploaded to JumpCart’s hosted system. JumpCart automatically creates orders for required items based on inventory usage, then sends and email message to the person responsible for the location to notify them of the pending order.

Once the purchase order is reviewed and approved, it can be automatically placed:

  • directly through the vendor’s ecommerce site;
  • by direct EDI submission to the vendor;
  • via email
  • via fax; or
  • through a separate procurement software application.

Robust reporting keeps you in control

JumpCart reports allow you to stay in control of your inventory status and usage information at all times to support critical stocking and ordering decisions. With just a few clicks, you can view current company-wide or location-specific inventory levels. If one of your sites runs low on a critical item, a manager can easily check availability at your other locations.

JumpCart reports allow you many different views of how system is being used. A wide variety of report options allow you a broad or specific view of any and all parts of your supply chain. Additionally, you can export all the report data for use in other programs.

With JumpCart, there’s no need to physically check invoices against inventory levels in order to calculate item usage on any item. The system provides complete visibility into measures such as, item usage by location and current and historical inventory levels. JumpCart makes it easy to spot trends such as seasonal variations in usage of a specific item, so you can adjust inventory levels and reorder quantities as needed.
